MEDIA RELEASE: Hitech Asia Pacific drives business from the road

Australia’s premier sensitive logistics provider Hitech Asia Pacific has invested $150,000 to maintain business on the road, from the truck cabin and on the job, streamlining customer deliveries.

Hitech Asia Pacific, Australia’s number one coordinator of the transportation and installation of sensitive medical, printing and IT infrastructure has introduced a customised android platform that allows the business’ team of project managers and drivers to manage projects on the go.

Tom Devjak, Hitech Asia Pacific chief executive officer, said the organisation was responsible for storing, moving and installing multi-million dollar equipment on behalf of clients servicing hospitals, health care facilities, major corporations and governments across Australia and New Zealand.

“The equipment we transport is extraordinarily valuable and often includes the relocation of multi-tonne machinery, at off-peak times and the coordination of cranes, road closures and other logistical challenges,” he said.

“Our team works with a multitude of suppliers and customers to provide thorough project management solutions and ensure machinery is successfully delivered and installed without a hitch.”

Mr Devjak said having the ability to check delivery details, client and their customer records as well as coordinating supplier information related to the transfer of equipment is proving to be an investment that is paying dividends.

The android platform is also proving to be more reliable and flexible for drivers to receive updates while they are out and about, rather than having to wait for new or amended data when they return to a Hitech Asia Pacific facility.

“Every aspect of the delivery – including the paperwork and approvals is accessible from the online, secure device,” he concluded.

“This is ensuring we can do our job right first time, every time, with little impact and no inconvenience for our customers, their clients and other stakeholders.”

MEDIA RELEASE: Precious Ballarat medical delivery success

A two-tonne CT Scanner, measuring almost three metres long and two metres high has been meticulously delivered at Eureka Medical and Dental Centre.

Hitech Asia Pacific, Australia’s number one coordinator of the transportation and installation of sensitive medical, printing and IT infrastructure, received the CT Scanner at its Tullamarine facility.

Tom Devjak, Hitech Asia Pacific Chief Executive Officer said the delivery presented unique challenges due to the medical centre being positioned on a steep hill on the corner of Albert and Dana streets.

Hitech Asia Pacific delivered the huge piece of medical equipment in the middle of the night to ensure patients and staff were avoided and to minimise traffic disruption around the centre’s busy streets.

“It was certainly a challenging delivery due to the centre’s location, the weight and distinctive size of the machinery,” Mr Devjak said.

“With good planning, the late night delivery meant we didn’t have human traffic in hallways and waiting rooms to take into account.

“Every care was taken with this and every delivery.

“The equipment we transport are extraordinarily valuable but they also represent life saving technology that make the difference to hundreds of patients from across the region.”

The CT Scanner, CAT Scanner or Computed Tomography Scanner is a medical imaging procedure that uses x-rays and digital computer technology to create cross-section images of the body. It can make an image of every type of body structure at once, including bone, blood vessels and soft tissue.

“We take our role very seriously and bring an unrivalled level of experience and expertise to the transportation and installation of medical equipment,” Mr Devjak said.

A team of five, headed up by project manager Scott Brown oversaw the delivery and removal of the previous equipment.

Hitech Asia Pacific is responsible for storing, moving and installing multi-million dollar equipment on behalf of clients servicing hospitals, health care facilities, major corporations and government facilities across Australia and New Zealand.
